One of our ways to build up our pool of competent mariners is by keeping partnerships with maritime universities and colleges, and by offering scholarships to their most proficient and able students.
The students undergo a series of exams and interviews under the supervision of our Vice President and COO and the Superintendents from our Marine and Technical Departments. Those who pass are offered academic scholarships and a chance to spend their cadetship with us and be onboard our manned-vessels. The chosen candidates, however, must maintain certain grades and an above-average academic standing. With this academic scholarship, we shoulder a monthly cost for each In line with our vision to provide professional, efficient and personalized marine services, we, at MANSHIP, offer a cadetship program for our scholars and qualified graduates/cadets of any maritime school. The selection process of the qualified graduates or cadets who are not part of the scholarship program includes examinations and interviews. Upon selection, the cadets have to work at our office until they are deemed ready for a life at sea. This may take around 6 months to a year, depending on the cadet’s performance during his tenure at the office.
This program is developed in such a way that the cadets will learn the basics of becoming competent and trustworthy mariners. During their tenure, they are assigned to work with our different departments with the aim of not only to develop their skills but also to enhance their character, sense of duty and professionalism.

Our industry highly depends upon the sustainability of the world’s natural resources and we believe that what we get, we have to give back. As part of our commitment to society and to the environment, we seek a partnership with different local organizations whose vision is to lead in caring for nature with people – for the people. We keep in finding ways to help in preserving and creating a better environment for the future generation.
In our desire to also extend a helping hand to the less fortunate and make them feel that they have a family, we go to different orphanages annually and hold a Christmas celebration. We believe that spending our day with them already costs like a hundred days of unforgettable memories for them. A simple gift-giving and presentations create a joyful ambiance to these lovely kids.
In MANSHIP, we give high regard in giving to the poor and to those who are in need. Natural catastrophe unfortunately happens yearly. With this, we always make sure that we are ready in extending help on a timely manner. Giving out relief goods to the victims is one of the things that we do to assist in times of need. We are even in the process of setting up teams of rescuers in times of typhoons and flash floods. These will be made up of our competent mariners who are indeed known to be well-trained in safety and in saving.
This strong commitment will raise consciousness to our mariners of our responsibility to our families, economy, society and environment. We understand that shipping is the lifeline of the world's economy, and we acknowledge the important role that our mariners play in it.

Our Mariners are "HERO MARINERS" (“BAYANING MARINO”).
We uphold the crucial roles that mariners play in the shipping industry, in our environment, in our society and to their families.
Our Hero Mariners perform a significant role in the global economy's lifeline as they transport passengers and goods around the world. They help preserve and protect our marine environment by instilling a culture of safety awareness and environmental protection consciousness within their ships. As one of the biggest contributors to the Philippine economy, they have become a valued asset to the country whose interests need to be protected and whose careers need to be continuously harnessed to maintain their viability. To their families, our Hero Mariners are saviours, always striving for their betterment even if they have to bear the pain of living most of their adult lives at sea.
With such immense responsibilities resting on their shoulders, excellence in the field of seafaring is highly encouraged and rewarded at MANSHIP.
